Department of Hydraulic and Sanitary Engineering at the Faculty of Environmental and Mechanical Engineering of the Poznan University of Life Sciences
In 1968, he graduated from a chemical technical school with a specialty in water and wastewater technology, after which he studied water reclamation at the University of Agriculture in Poznań. Since 1973, he has been employed at the Department of Water Construction at the Agricultural University. In 1975-78, he completed an aspirantship at the Moscow Hydromelioration Institute. After returning to Poland already as an assistant professor, he was mainly interested in the hydraulics of water structures. After his habilitation, he focused his interests on the treatment of small amounts of wastewater in rural areas. In 1990-93 - associate dean for studies at the Faculty of Land Reclamation and Environmental Engineering at the Agricultural University in Poznań and head of the postgraduate study of Rural Environmental Engineering.
Promoter of 7 PhDs and nearly 200 masters and engineers. Author and co-author of more than 170 articles, 3 textbooks and scripts, 3 books, utility model, 2 patents and 4 patent applications. Member of the program board of EJPAU, Municipal Review, and Water and Sewerage.
Participant of 20 international conferences, scientific supervisor of 8 training courses on domestic wastewater treatment plants and 4 on rural sewerage. Since 2001. - Professor of technical sciences.
From 1996 to 2007 member of the Committee on Land Reclamation Engineering. Agricultural Environment of the Polish Academy of Sciences, and since 2007. - Committee on Environmental Engineering of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Chairman of the Section of water supply and sewage systems at the wlkp. branch of PZITS. Currently - head of the Department of Water and Sanitary Engineering and the Department of Water Supply and Rural Sanitation at UP in Poznan.
